Health Camp at Government Primary School Malauli, Gosain ganj
The school health programme is defined on the procedure that contributes not only to the maintenance and improvement of health of the students, but also includes informing the students on healthy living under health education with an access to basic health services.
School is considered as a place of learning where children not only learn subject related knowledge but, also life style practices and health seeking behavior. Therefore, the students should undergo for regular medical examinations and necessary follow-ups and treatments, where ever necessary. Teachers should also carry out a daily inspection round of students for any kind of illness or any improper development in body, and a timely medical assistance should be provided.
That is why the student’s health and basic hygiene issues make a very important component of icareindia initiative. The organization organizes regular health camps for the students of government primary schools, with the assistance of health department, under sanction of C. M. O.
icareindia, team organized a medical camp for the students of government primary school, Malauli, Gosain ganj. A medical team comprising of two medical officers, an ayush medical officer, a physiotherapist, two optometrists and two staff nurses of C. H. C. Gosain ganj, visited the school. The medical team examined 72 students on eye/ear related issues, mal-nourished and under –weight problem, infections, other health issues, deworming, iron/calcium/other deficiency and referrals.

The students were thoroughly examined, and were given proper medical assistance. The medical team also examined 15 community people advising and administering medical assistance.
The programme was coordinated by a team of interns from icareindia, and school teachers under supervision of icareindia team experts.
