Our Journey

ICAREINDIA is registered in year 2014 as an entity of Shyama Memorial Welfare Society. It started its journey to Transform Government Primary Schools, under the leadership of Mr. Anoop Gupta. After working for more than 16 years in the IT industry across Europe, he returned to India to fulfil his mother’s dream–‘access of quality primary education in reach of every child’. Initially, he carefully studied about the Primary Education scenario. It took him three years to study the ground realities, and then he focused attention to one of the primary schools at Raitha, a village close to the state capital. It is here that his mission, Transforming Primary Education in Government Schools, started and the journey continues till today.

Shyama Memorial Welfare Society, a non-profit organization was established in 1992 by Dr. Surya Prakash, in the memory of his wife Mrs. Shyama Gupta who died at a young age.
